Sorry for taking so long to post up some more videos but I really was overwhelmed between my final project and the traveling in Spain. I am finally back in College Station and I will be putting up all of the video’s I had made in that time.

Here is a video of a fountain show in the middle of Barcelona.

Zipline (Top 5 things I have done in my life)Link to http://thinkbig.tamu.edu/blog/wp-content/themes/PressRow/images/Ryan's profile

We went to Selvatura which is an adventure park in Monteverde.  It was one of the coolest things I ever done in my life.  The zip line tour was composed of 18 different zip lines and a Tarzan swing.  I have videos of both of them.  The last zip line was 1 km long!  It was amazing.  I don’t even think the videos do it justice.  This is just something that you have to experience yourself.

I still need to upload videos to YouTube, so I will continue to submit posts.  I will also submit a long text post with some follow up thoughts about the study abroad trip.

Bookstore in Porto, PortugalLink to http://thinkbig.tamu.edu/blog/wp-content/themes/PressRow/images/Madison's profile

This was a bookstore we went into while touring Porto, Portugal.  We were all curious why we were even wasting our time going into a bookstore when we had so much to see in the town with such little time.  It turns out the bookstore was incredible and we were all very happy we were able to go inside.  The video pretty much speaks for itself, hope y’all enjoy.

Santiago de Compostela CathedralLink to http://thinkbig.tamu.edu/blog/wp-content/themes/PressRow/images/Madison's profile

While in Santiago, we took an hour hike through the city which ended at the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. This was the end of the important 9th century medieval pilgrimage route, the Way of St. James. The pilgrimage is actually an incredibly long trek that takes people about 3 months to complete. We were able to tour the cathedral and see the crypt and many other holy historical items in the cathedral. This video is outside the cathedral while a band is playing. Hope y’all enjoy.

Calem Winery in Oporto, PortugalLink to http://thinkbig.tamu.edu/blog/wp-content/themes/PressRow/images/Sofia's profile

We got to tour a winery in Oporto, Portugal. The smells and tastes of the wine were amazing. I talked to a few of the students before the tour and then got a bit of the tour on video. We got to taste a white wine and a red wine and both were amazing, but very rich in flavor. A lot people, including myself, ended up buying wine to bring back for family and friends (especially since some of these wines can only be bought in Oporot). The wine made here is called port because of it´s very rich flavors. Each wine is meant to be eaten with certain types of foods. The red wines (and there are a few different types) are meant usually for fruit or pastries as they are very sweet. The white wines are mostly for cheeses and some pastries.

On a side note: although I do not have any videos I did get to learn how to surf in Oporto, Portugal and it was one of the best experiences of my life. Although the waves can really beat you up when you fall, the feeling of riding on top of the waves is absolutely amazing. I recommend learning how to surf if you ever get to chance, it is definitely worth it.

fountain light show in BarcelonaLink to http://thinkbig.tamu.edu/blog/wp-content/themes/PressRow/images/Sofia's profile

I was looking at the earlier post and I do not know why, but the video is not posted. Sorry about that, one of the really amazing videos I downloaded on youtube isn´t working because there is some rule about a max of 10 minutes on videos uploaded and mine is 11 minutes. I will try and edit that and re-upload it. Here is small video of it anyway.

Stuck on the side of the road in SpainLink to http://thinkbig.tamu.edu/blog/wp-content/themes/PressRow/images/Sofia's profile

Great story in Spain. Our bus broke down on the 10 hour ride from Santiago to Ciudad Real. As we were waiting on the side of the road we were told that the bus couldn´t sit on the side of the road and we were not allowed off the bus. The bus was starting to get extremely hot. A couple of police officers showed up and told us to stay on the bus, trying to keep us out of danger.  Another bus from a nearby town ended up picking us up and then taking us to the bus that was trying to meet us from Ciudad Real to take us back. It gave us a view on how Spain’s transportation system works and their rules on broken down vehicles.

SantiagoLink to http://thinkbig.tamu.edu/blog/wp-content/themes/PressRow/images/Sofia's profile

So while in Santiago, our tour guide showed a gorgeous bookstore. There were even some books in English that a few of us bought. There were all kinds of books and a few expensive paintings, plus some great smelling soaps.

Blog 5- Oporto, PortugalLink to http://thinkbig.tamu.edu/blog/wp-content/themes/PressRow/images/Allison's profile

Well, Here we are in Oporto, Portugal! Thursday night everyone went out for dinner and to explore the town. I had one of Oporto’s famous sandwiches called the “Frenchy”. It is covered in cheese, has about 5 different kinds of meat, and is served in a bowl filled with gravy. It was pretty darn good!

On Friday we were taken on a guided tour of the city. We got to drive down a road that is being set up for a vintage Formula One car race, we saw an old castle, a cathedral, and a bookstore with a beautiful stairwell. We even got to go on a tour of a wine cellar and have a port wine sampling. For the afternoon, we all decided to go to the beach. About 10 of us tried surfing for the first time! I only got about twice on the board and spent the rest of the time getting tossed around in the crashing waves swallowing about half the Atlantic ocean! I had a blast though! …I am worried about my muscles for the next couple days… I thought my arms were about to fall off from paddling so much!

Tomorrow we’re leaving for Santiago, Spain. I’ll keep y’all posted!
